Considering myself a Luddite curmudgeon, I find it curious to be writing an introduction to First GREEN Bank's blog. I never really had the courage to ask what a blog was and to this moment I'm not sure I really understand what one is. However, that being said, my webmaster tells me it is a great way to communicate! So here we go. We've been doing well at First Green Bank and we just celebrated our 9th week in business. Our assets are almost $35 million and we have about $10 million in loans and $20 million in deposits. Thanks to everyone who has joined our little bank as a customer. You may or may not have seen that we were featured recently in Time Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, the Orlando Business Journal and the Orlando Sentinel. I was also interviewed on Fox Business which aired nationally and the local Fox 35 Anchor, Keith Landry, came to Eustis to do a piece on our bank. Very exciting stuff.
